Several hundred children will receive a new toy this holiday season, thanks to the efforts of P1 Group associates.
P1 associates filled several Toys for Tots barrels and raised $800 for the campaign. Most of the cash was donated at P1’s annual Holiday Party. All attendees who brought a toy or money were entered into a drawing for a $200 Visa gift card. Due to the success of the incentive, there will be multiple prize drawings next year.
Matt Damon, IT Systems Engineer, was the leader of another notable toy collection effort. Each year he hosts a holiday party for family and friends, inviting them to celebrate and also support a worthy cause. This year his guests donated enough toys to fill three collection barrels.
Toys for Tots is managed by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. About 700 communities nationwide hold collection drives and then distribute the new, unwrapped toys to children in economically disadvantaged households. Toys for Tots has distributed more than 416 million toys since its inception in 1995.
